Our ambition and commitment to constant improvement has led us to become a consecutive winner of the UC Davis IFC Fraternity of the Year Award for 5 years as well as a repeating Rock Chapter of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. We emphasize the importance of being balanced college students, which is shown through our ability to maintain the top GPA among all fraternities as well as our consistency in being involved in countless organizations and clubs on campus. Over 1,800 young men have been initiated into the Epsilon Eta chapter of Sigma Nu at the University of Tennessee. But every day I would awaken to the aftermath of senseless acts of destruction and find a newly transformed house from the night before. At UT, Sigma Nu is active on campus and participates in intramurals, university events, and engages in services with in the Knoxville Community. A builder of affordable homes has bought a fraternity house. Inside there’s a full commercial kitchen, an elevator, dining hall and classroom for LEAD events. Before it had fallen victim to the fraternity, this home had been a beautiful Victorian mansion. In desperation due to the need to rent all of their rooms out, I was granted permission to live in theSigma house (making me the only woman living there). ![]() But due to the filthy and decaying condition of the house many parents of the Brothers forbid their sons to live there. It was strictly for undergraduate male Yale students who were a part of the fraternity. For two years during my graduate studies at Yale University I rented a room inside the Sigma Nu fraternity house. ![]()
